Team roles and permissions
Every person on your team has a role. The role decides what they can see and do in Superspace, so each person gets only the tools needed for their job.
The roles
| Role | Summary | Plan |
|---|---|---|
| Owner | The studio owner. The owner manages the subscription and the studio's identity verification. | All plans |
| Administrator | Everything a Manager has, plus extra permissions. | Growth and Ultimate |
| Manager | Its permissions are listed in the role catalog. | Ultimate |
| Cashier | Everything a Viewer has, plus extra permissions. | Ultimate |
| Viewer | Its permissions are listed in the role catalog. | Growth and Ultimate |
The exact permissions of each role are listed on Settings → Roles & Access, in the role catalog under your team list. Roles that build on another show Everything in that role, plus the extra permissions.
Permissions you'll see
Permissions are grouped by area, for example:
- View dashboard · View analytics & reports
- View bookings · Create bookings · Full booking management
- View calendar · Block calendar time slots
- View customers · Manage customer records · Manage messages
- View listings · Manage listings (spaces)
- View equipment · Manage equipment
- View settings · Manage studio settings · Manage team members
- View billing information · Manage billing · Manage subscription
How permissions affect what people see
- Sidebar items, dashboard cards and buttons only appear when a person's role allows them.
- If someone opens a page they don't have access to, they're told they don't have permission.
- Only people who can manage the subscription can pay for a plan; others are asked to contact the studio owner when a plan ends.
