What is a no-show?
A no-show is a customer who books a space and does not turn up and does not cancel, leaving the time unused and, if unpaid, unearned.
For a space business a no-show is lost inventory: the hour cannot be sold again. The damage depends on whether the booking was paid.
What reduces them:
- Taking payment when the customer books, not on arrival.
- A clear cancellation policy shown before booking.
- A reminder a day before, with an easy way to cancel.
More in taking payment before the session.
How Superspace handles it
Superspace takes payment as part of booking, shows the space's cancellation policy before the customer pays, and sends a reminder about 24 hours ahead.
Common questions
Should I refund a no-show?
That is what your cancellation policy is for. Most spaces do not refund a customer who does not turn up without cancelling, because the time could not be resold.
