What is peak pricing?

Also called: Weekend rate, Peak rate

Peak pricing is charging a higher hourly rate, often with a longer minimum booking, on the days or times when demand for a space is highest, such as weekends.

Demand for most spaces is uneven: Saturdays sell out, Tuesday mornings do not. One flat rate either leaves money on the table at the weekend or prices people out midweek.

Peak pricing lets the busiest days pay more and pairs well with a longer minimum booking length, so peak time is not broken into short bookings.

ExampleA studio charges ₦10,000 an hour on weekdays and ₦13,000 on Saturdays and Sundays, with a three-hour weekend minimum.

How Superspace handles it

On Superspace Growth and above, advanced pricing rules set a different hourly rate and minimum on the days you choose. Customers see the rate for the day they pick. See Advanced pricing rules.

Common questions

How much higher should a weekend rate be?

Many spaces start 20 to 40 percent above the weekday rate. If weekends still sell out well ahead, the gap can be wider.
