What is a payment link?

Also called: Checkout link, Pay link

A payment link is a web address that opens a checkout for a set amount, so a customer can pay online from their own phone or computer.

Payment links are useful when the booking happens outside your booking page: on the phone, in DMs or at the front desk.

The catch is matching. A general payment link from a payment provider tells you money arrived, not which booking it was for. A link created for a specific booking confirms that booking when it is paid.

How Superspace handles it

In Superspace a payment link is created for a specific POS booking and emailed to the customer. The booking confirms itself when they pay, and you can resend the link or generate a new one if it expires. See Send a payment link.

Common questions

Do payment links expire?

Usually, yes, after a set payment window. In Superspace an expired link leaves the booking available, and you can send a fresh link.
