What is blocked time?

Also called: Blackout dates, Blocked dates

Blocked time is a period marked as unavailable on a space's calendar, for maintenance, a private event or a holiday, without changing its normal operating hours.

Operating hours say when a space is normally open. Blocked time handles the exceptions: a repair on Tuesday morning, a public holiday, a day you keep for your own shoot.

Blocks can be one-off or repeating, for part of a day or whole days. The point is that customers cannot book the time, so you are not relying on remembering to turn people away.

How Superspace handles it

In Superspace you block time on the calendar for one space or all of them, for part of a day or whole days, once or repeating every day or every week. Customers cannot book blocked time. See Block time on your calendar.

Common questions

Is blocked time the same as changing my operating hours?

No. Operating hours are your normal schedule. Blocked time closes specific dates or hours on top of that schedule, and your normal hours return when the block ends.
