What is instant book?

Also called: Instant booking, Auto-confirm

Instant book is a setting where a booking is confirmed automatically as soon as the customer pays, without the owner approving it first.

Instant book suits spaces with straightforward, repeatable bookings where speed matters, such as a photo studio rented by the hour. The customer gets a confirmed booking straight away, and the owner does not have to be online to say yes.

The alternative is a booking request, where the owner reviews each booking before it is accepted. Many businesses use both: instant book for everyday hourly use, requests for events or unusual uses.

Instant book only works safely if availability and booking rules are enforced by the system. Otherwise a customer can confirm a time you cannot serve.

How Superspace handles it

In Superspace you choose instant book or booking requests for each space. With instant book, a booking is confirmed as soon as it is paid. See Instant Book vs booking requests.

Common questions

Should I use instant book or booking requests?

Use instant book where every booking looks the same and you can serve any paid booking that fits your rules. Use booking requests where you need to check the customer or the purpose first, such as events.

Does instant book mean anyone can book any time?

No. The customer can only book times that are free and that fit your operating hours, minimum and maximum booking length and guest capacity.
