What are add-ons?

Also called: Extras, Equipment packages

Add-ons are extras a customer can pay for on top of the space itself, such as a lighting kit, a projector, an engineer or extra cleaning, priced as part of the booking.

They raise what each booking earns without raising the hourly rate, and they let customers who need less pay less.

The mistake is agreeing extras in chat after the booking: they get forgotten, underpriced or never paid. Offered at checkout, they are priced with the booking and paid with it. See pricing extras: engineers, gear and overtime.

How Superspace handles it

In Superspace you attach add-ons and equipment packages to a space; customers choose them at checkout and the price is added to the booking total. Equipment can also be tracked against the booking using it. See Add-ons and equipment packages.

Common questions

Should equipment be included in the hourly rate or charged as an add-on?

Include what nearly every customer uses. Charge separately for what only some need, so customers who bring their own kit are not paying for yours.
