Superspace vs Google Forms and Sheets
Google Forms and Sheets can collect booking details and keep records, but a form cannot show what is free, take payment or stop two people booking the same slot. Superspace does the booking, payment and calendar in one place, and still lets you export your records.
A booking form feeding a spreadsheet is the first step many spaces take to get organised. It is free, flexible and familiar. What it cannot do is make decisions: it accepts any time, any length and any number of guests, and leaves you to check each one.

What Google Forms and Sheets do well
- Collecting the same details from every customer.
- Keeping records you can sort, filter and share.
- Building your own formulas and reports, exactly how you want them.
- Costing nothing, with tools most people already know.
Where it breaks down
- A form cannot show availability, so customers request times you then have to confirm or refuse.
- Payment happens somewhere else, and someone copies it into the right row.
- The form accepts any time and length; your hours, minimums and capacity are checked by hand.
- Two requests for the same slot both go through.
- Confirmations and reminders are sent by you, if you remember.
- The sheet is only as current as the last person who updated it.
When Google Forms and Sheets are enough
If bookings are infrequent, always confirmed by you, and paid for in person or by invoice, a form and a sheet can be enough. It stops being enough when customers expect to see availability and pay at the same time as they book.
Using them together
You do not lose your spreadsheets. Superspace keeps a profile per customer and booking and revenue reports, and you can export your customer list whenever you want it. On Growth and above you can also export your analytics as a CSV.
Common questions
Can I export my data from Superspace to a spreadsheet?
Yes. You can export your customer list on any plan, and on Growth and above you can export your booking and revenue analytics as a CSV for the period you choose.
Can I move my existing bookings from a spreadsheet into Superspace?
Add your customers, then block the times you have already sold on the calendar so nobody can book over them. New bookings then come in through Superspace. Contact support if you have a large list to move.
